CSUMB To Celebrate World Aids Day

Dec. 1 has been World Aids since its inception in 1988. The day is meant to commemorate those who are inflicted with Aids and remember those who have died because of Aids. 

California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is holding a candle light vigil and discussion in the Main Quad for World Aids Day from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Worldaidsday.org says that the day is to remind the public and governments that Aids is a pandemic that continue to take lives. 

In addition, the day is to call for the importance of raising money, increasing awareness, and stressing the importance of education in fighting Aids.
