With the start of October just a few days away the Halloween planning has already begun in department stores and students’ minds alike. But Halloween is not the only day of celebration in October. This is a list, provided by louderbacks.com, of National Days in October that give you reason to celebrate before the big costume bash arrives.
October 1 is World Vegetarian Day- Not exactly my “cut of meat” but hey, not everyone appreciates a fine piece of sirloin.
October 2 is Name Your Car Day- Does Herbie count?
October 4 is National Golf Day- All grandpas rejoice!
October 6 is German-American Day- Guten Tag!
October 7 is National Frappe Day- Not sure but I think Starbucks had something to do with this one. Maybe that means coupons for everyone!
October 8 is American Tag Day- Children of all ages, have fun!
October 10 is National Angel Food Cake Day- I know what I am making for dessert that night!
October 12 is International Moment Of Frustration Scream Day- I suggest you conduct this celebration whilst in the privacy of your own room. Also, save the scream for a big fluffy pillow so to not worry the roommates.
October 14 is Be Bald and Free Day- So many dirty jokes, so little space.
October 18 is No Beard Day- Sorry Brian “Fear the Beard” Wilson, looks like the masterpiece has got to go.
October 22 is National Nut Day- [See response to October 14]
October 23 is National Mole Day- Not sure if whack-a-mole would be appropriate celebration.
October 28 is National Chocolate Day- Every girls’ favorite obscure holiday
October 30 is National Candy Corn Day- A personal favorite Halloween candy of mine.
October 31 is National Magic Day- Hocus pocus! Alakazam!
