After two long days in Galway me and the girls hopped on a bus and set off for Dublin. Dublin was, for lack of a better term, so cool!
We spent the early afternoon walking up and down the streets and souvenir shopping at Carroll’s Irish Gift Stores. After purchasing our traditional Irish claddagh rings we scurried over to the Guinness Factory. Kate R and I were definitely more eager for the free samples than actually learning about the history, but that was interesting too. After a couple small samples we finally made it up to the Gravity Bar. The Gravity Bar sits at the top of the Guinness factory and looks over all of Dublin, so needless to say the view was spectacular, especially with a pint in hand. While gazing out the glass walls and sipping on our beers we suddenly spotted a rainbow, how lucky is that!
We finished up at the factory and began the trek back to our hostel when it started hailing. We had no umbrellas, no coats, or hoods, all we had were our scarves so, we rapped our heads and made a run for it. Exhausted from our sprint back to the hostel we all crashed for a bit. We woke up at 8:30 p.m. to start getting ready however there were seven girls and one mirror so it definitely took a little bit and we finally made it out around 11:30 p.m.
Our first stop was the famous Temple Bar. This bar was ridiculously crowded so Jess, Lena, Whitney and I decided to search for something a little more low-key. We stumbled upon live music at a chill pub so we got a drink and hung there for a while. After that pub closed we found another one with the same relaxed vibe however it had a slightly younger crowd and better music. We danced, mingled and met some Brazilian boys before calling it a night around 3 a.m. The following morning we did some last minute shopping before heading to the airport and returning to our precious London.
